Polymer Recycling Plant, Urmond


QCP operates a factory at the Chemelot site that processes post consumer plastic (PCW) waste to a high quality granulate that is used again by the plastics industry manufacturers for production of high end products.

In phase 1 HTP delivered a benchmark design that fully merges QCP´s and Sita´s approaches and specifies inlet- and outlet streams, processes and equipment.

Subsequent engineering services of HTP included the following items:

  • Bid development and evaluation
  • Review of design documents
  • Services in procurement/manufacturing phase
  • Supervision construction phase
  • Attendance of cold and hot commissioning, trial operation, Managing interfaces to PU 2 and PU 3

Service:  Engineering service for Preparation Unit 1 (Contractor´s Design) in all project stages up to commissioning.

 

Design:  Two process lines for PCW:

  • Dry preparation stage
  • Wet preparation stages
  • Grinding & washing
  • Density separation
  • Colour-sorting

Initial production 1st October 2015 (Module 1), 35,000 t output pa
